| Bio: | I am going to blame this on a friend who said that if I would post my writing she would want to read it, because it is mine, even though a lot of it is poemish and she hates poetry. Who can say no to such a friend? About the writing: Like I said, I write a lot of it, both poems and otherwise and post a lot of that for a friend, even though she may hate a lot of it. She is a very self directed person and so knows exactly what she hates (and those of us who love her love her all the more for that). Most of what I am planning to put up is stuff I wrote for myself, pretty much because if I did not do something at that point I was going to go nuts, so it may be worthless as literature (or whatever sort of item it supposedly is), or not, I don't know. frankly, I don't care all that much which it is. As I still have my sanity (or as much of it as is good for anyone) it has already served its primary purpose, and I am grateful. So here it is, for whatever it's worth, some writing (much, but not all of it poetry) along with anything else I decide to put up. Warning! I am fond of lists. About me: I am not going to say a lot about me. If you are on here it is probably because you already know me in real life, and if you don't then I am flattered you are here but I still don't feel all that compelled to say a lot about my self right off. I love my car, way too much for an environmentalist, even though she is technically nothing special(the car). I've named her Liberty and driven many miles, to many interesting places, with her and she is has not broken down on me yet. What's not to love? (Liberty is not the car in my profile picture either mind you, that one belongs to a friend. We drove it all the way from Florida to Ohio with a bad axle ball joint. When the picture was taken, I was underneath trying to decide the odds that the front wheel would fall off while we drove through the Appalachians.) Otherwise I mostly like making and learning stuff. I am a big nerd, bookish and somewhat socially awkward, though I apparently have a way with words, when I am not trying too hard. currently I am terribly college sick, out in the real world and feeling keenly the lack of reading lists, workshops, theater productions (I was a techy) discussion groups, study parties, open lectures, free events, and a critical mass of other nerdy people to make the experience interesting. Somebody help me make up my mind on an area of further study (I have an interesting problem called "I easily fascinated but almost as easily distracted" so it is hard to decide what will keep me going for the long term) and I will go running for grad school with open arms! There I have not told you much about me but written a book anyway (which is actually a pretty good description of what I am like) As I am not self-censoring anything I put up, if you are not yet scared away, you will have a pretty good idea what I am like pretty soon. Oh yeah, if you have not noticed yet, I am a bad speller. I hope you can forgive me for it. | |||||||
